The End of Winter season final night Top 8 took place Wednesday March 28th at Bridgeport SC at 7pm

The division 1 runner-up spot was sealed at VTTC last friday. Although taking a 7-3 defeat against CITTI, the 3 points proved enough to secure 2nd place for Ocean Blue and they took $225 runners-up cheque.

Only decided on the final match of the evening as Judy Lau beat Lex Lui to help Vancouver Avengers to a 9-1 victory against Bonsor 2 this meant her team was able to claim 3rd place. Finishing on equal points Avengers beat AL team into 4th place by virtue of matches won.

Last Wednesday at Bridgeport SC. The Division 2 title was still a little in the balance as VTTC 3 had to gain at least 4 points to secure the title. They achieved this comfortably with an 8-2 win against club mates VTTC 4 to take the Div 2 trophy and winners cheque finishing the season unbeaten and securing promotion to Div 1 for next winter.

Div 2 Runners-up were Bonsor 3 captained by Nancy Suyan Tang

Dunbar needing just 1 point to take 3rd place which they easily acheived took the 3rd place cheque
A really great atmosphere at both league nights and a huge thank you goes out the our host venues of VTTC and Bridgeport SC, our VADTTL committee members and of course to all the players who have made the league the most successful yet this year. Hope to see some of you attend the Top 8 tournaments scheduled for all 3 divisions which will take place at Bridgeport on March 28th. And also look forward to seeing you all hopefully for the 2012 Summer league which will start end of May.

With a solid draw against Chocolate Covered Erasers, Bonsor 1 took the long since decided Division 1 Title and won the $450 first prize. 2nd and 3rd places are still yet to be decided with one week still to play. More details to follow after next weeks matches.

Although VTTC 2 technically defaulted from the league on week 15 after their third no show, we have waited a while to send out this confirmation of default in the name of giving a little time to the team to come up with any alternative action but the team have been unable to do so unfortunately the team is now officially defaulted from Division 1.

This means that according to league rules that all matches involving VTTC 2 are now considered void and all points involving the team will removed from the league. This may change the standings a little, we will see once the calculations have been processed which we will try and have done by tonight.

The schedule for the last 3 weeks will not change except for the fact that if you are scheduled to play VTTC 2 then you too will have a bye along with the already scheduled bye team.

Please inform all your team mates on this matter asap.

Runaway winners of Division 3 took the trophy on the final match night at VTTC on friday. Only dropping 2 points throughout the whole season they took the Division 3 trophy, gold medals and win promotion to Division 2 in next years Winter League.
MRX took silver after gaining easily enough points on the final match night against Vancouver Avengers 2 and VTTC 6 take away the bronze medals.

After a valiant effort to save the team over the past week, VTTC 5 have confirmed they have decided to withdraw from VADTTL Division 2 this year. They simply have been struggling with getting a team out.

Therefore, in accordance to league rules, all matches that have already been played against the VTTC 5 team will considered void and all league points relating to these matches will be removed from the league standings.

All future scheduled matches against VTTC 5 will now be replaced with a Bye for the team scheduled to play them as the Division is now a 9 team division. Trail Spinnakers were due to play them tomorrow so now have a Bye. Please check your schedule to look out for this.

Please inform all your team mates of this withdrawal.
And please check adjusted league standings over the next day or so on this site.

The schedules are out and the first Division 1 matches begin tonight (2nd Nov) at Bridgeport SC and the first Div 2 and Div 3 matches take place at VTTC on friday (4th Nov).

We have such an excellent entry this year that there will now be league of some sort at both venues every week.

The website should be updated over the next couple of days with luck so you will be able to check up on all the results etc as they come in very soon.

The Winter league has been delayed one week due to a number of factors a little out of our control.
This means that the first matches will take place on the following days.

Division 1: Week 1. Weds November 2nd Bridgeport SC

Division 2 & Division 3: Week 1. Fri Nov 4th Vancouver Table Tennis Club.

Apologies to you all for this delay but it has become unavoidable.

The league is once more growing in size and we have 3 divisions for the first time so the league schedule is a little busier this year again.

Please contact us or any other league committee members with any questions you may have regarding schedule.

One more final very important notice. Please make sure your BCTTA membership is up to date (starting September 2011), the league is of course a ranking points league and BCTTA membership is compulsory for all league players. Players without up to date membership will not be allowed to play league. On this we have to be very strict.
